The hair I want is in these photos, as well as photos of me to compare to him as a lot of my friends, and even my girlfriend tell me that I look like him. Is that bad, or good?

Yes, I see the resemblence. Your girlfriend is a lucky lady. Looking like Johnny Depp could never be considered a bad thing, unless you look like Edward Scissorhands. =) The pic of you in the wifebeater your hair is similar to his…just grow it longer and part it in the center.
in my opinion, i don’t look very much like him, he has sharper features than you. its not a bad thing.
to get your hair to look like his, you just have to grow it and straighten in with a flat iron. simple :]
